Finances Shouldn't Stand in the Way of Your Help
We know there are individuals and families who need counselling but do not have insurance, employee benefits, or the financial ability to cover the full cost of ongoing sessions.
The Selah Access Program was created to help make counselling more accessible through reduced-fee and limited pro bono opportunities for those who qualify.

Quality Support.
Reduced Financial Barriers.
Through Selah's clinical internship program, eligible clients may have the opportunity to receive counselling from carefully selected counselling interns who are developing their clinical experience under ongoing professional supervision.
This allows Selah to provide more accessible counselling while giving emerging therapists meaningful, hands-on clinical experience.

Learning Under Experienced Guidance
Our interns are learning, but they are not doing it alone.
Counselling interns participating in the Selah Access Program receive ongoing clinical supervision through our experienced team, including Tina Bender, Faith Laverty, and, at times, Dr. Mandy McMahon.
This provides emerging therapists with the guidance they need while helping ensure clients receive thoughtful and intentional care.

Why We Created Selah Access Program
When the Selah Treatment Center closed as a not-for-profit organization, the need for accessible mental health support did not disappear.
There were still people who needed somewhere to turn.
The Selah Access Program is our way of continuing to make room.
By bringing together people who need more affordable counselling and emerging therapists who need meaningful clinical experience, we can continue caring for our community while intentionally training the next generation of therapists.
Creating greater access. Training with intention. Caring for people well.

The Selah Access Program May Be Right for You If...
You need mental health support but are experiencing financial barriers that make regular counselling difficult to access.
This may include individuals or families who:
Do not have insurance or employee benefits that cover counselling
Have limited mental health coverage
Cannot currently afford Selah's standard counselling rates
Would benefit from consistent counselling with a supervised intern
Are open to working with an emerging therapist as part of their clinical training
Program eligibility and placement are based on individual circumstances, clinical fit, and current availability.
