You will manage a client caseload that provides the opportunity to develop clinical skills while applying your theoretical knowledge in a clinical environment, supporting individuals, couples, and families.

Therapist interns will gain valuable experience in clinical administration, learning the essential skills for managing client records, scheduling, and maintaining professional documentation.

As an intern therapist, you will have the unique opportunity to gain experience in both private for-profit and not-for-profit settings. At Selah Counselling, Mediation, and Training Center, you will work within a professional, for-profit environment, honing your clinical skills and learning about business practices in therapy. Additionally, through our Selah Treatment Center, a charitable organization that subsidizes mental health services, you will gain experience in a not-for-profit setting, participating in team meetings and contributing to a collaborative, supportive team culture focused on serving those in need. This dual exposure will broaden your expertise and enrich your understanding of diverse therapeutic practices.

You will receive weekly individual supervision from an experienced clinical supervisor.

You will participate in monthly group supervision with your team.

You will gain valuable experience by recording consented sessions, both verbal and written, allowing you to observe clinical skills and deepen your learning.
